Will the size of my cat make a difference in the size of the litter?
I was wondering if the size of the queen makes any difference in the size of her litter. My cat is very little. I would say around 5 or 6 pounds. This would also be her first litter. Does anyone know approximately what the size of her litter will be?
She probably won't have many more than say 3, but sometimes size doesn't dictate the amount of kittens that a female can have. I've known smaller cats have more kittens that the larger girls. It has something to do with the fact that larger girls have more testosterone for some reason (probably why they can grow larger) and because of the male hormone it restricts the amount of kittens a female can have, even making them not have kittensat all. I've known some breeders of Maine Coons who have very large girls only end up having one or two kittens at most inone litter. The size of the hip area inside also dictates the size of the litter. This is why you can have a small girl but with good sized hips and a large girl with narrower hips

But, I do hope your girl only has 1-3 kittens, this way the birth won't be a long one for her and she won't have too many to nurse (especially for her first time) and the kittens will be chunkier and have a better chance of surviving and thriving.

If your cat has the annoying habit of waking you up every morning, you can use a vacuum cleaner to scare off your cat and make him learn to respect your time of rest. If your cat wakes you up every morning by scratching on your door, you can position the vacuum cleaner in such a way that it is by the door and can easily be activated by you.
Fact#8: Cats are creatures of habit
Cats love routines. Because of this, try to stick to a schedule that your cat can depend especially when it comes to feeding time. If your cat has the habit of disturbing you whenever it's hungry, do not encourage it by feeding it outside of the regular schedule. Stick to the feeding schedule and your cat will soon know when to expect his food.
